Blue Nails For Autism Awareness Month!
Hello everyone, so as people may have guessed by now, the March challenge kinda failed for me. I will still try to finish it and turn it into the April challenge but we shall see.
For now we have another project! April 1st is the first day of Autism Awareness month and some of us lovelies in the nail community are doing a month of blue manis to help raise awareness!
My mind just doesn't do blue so rather than do every single mani blue I am instead going to have blue as my main colour :-)

Here is my first one!
This started with a base of Sally Hansen - Without A Stitch, then one coat of a GOSH blue which I have had forever from a bargain bin in Superdrug so I don't know the name of! When it was all dry, I took a cotton pad with a tiny dap of remover and lightly brushed the surface until you could see the base colour.
I have no idea what I was going for with it but I kinda like it!

Day 13 - Luck
For Day 13 of the March challenge my inspiration word was 'Luck'. I, at first had no idea what to do so went about a few ideas. Finally I settled on using my lucky ring as the basis!
I've worn this ring every single day since I was given it by my Mum about 9years ago.
Colours used were:

The I Have a Life Challenge!
Whoaa it's been 1 whole month since I last posted! I really need to start getting ontop of that! even though it's been quiet over here I have still been a busy bee doing a challenge over on Instagram. It's called the I have a life challenge because, as you can tell from the title, it means you can still carry on with a normal life alongside this. Most challenges have a new post everyday but this one is every few days so yay. life. As it's the 12th now I'll just do a quick post as a catch up then hopefully will stay on top of posting for each entry :-) Sorry for the amount of photos if it takes a while to load.
First up here's the dates for the challenges!
First Entry - Chevrons
I hate doing chevrons. So time consuming and I can never get them neat enough for my OCD brain!
Third we have gradients! My absolute favourite at the minute! Lovelovelovelove. I'm going to do a whole post on this because I love this look so much so watch this space.
# Fourth was colour block. This isn't technically colour blocking as I see it in my mind but it's almost there! The photo also isn't amazing because my pretty SLR has broken :-(
Phew, there we have all my entries thus far. Keep a look out for the next one on the 13th give or take a few days cos ya know, I have a life. :-)
Also if you want me to do any full posts on any of these designs (aside from gradients because that's definitely happening anyway!) then let me know!

Second was Stripes, again very much like doing chevrons. I actually quite like these though.

Love Is In The Air...
Sorry for the cheesy title, I couldn't resist!
For todays post I have a cute little valentines day inspired mani, I'm not a big V-day lover but I actually quite like how this one turnd out. Unfortunately, I don't have the time for a tutorial so I'll just list the polishes I used :-)
As always, I hope you like it :-)
OPI - Germanicure from, yup you guessed it, the Germany collection as the base colour,
Unnamed Black for the first layer of the 'cloud'
Essie - Mink Muffs the top 'cloud' colour,
Essie - Lollipop for the little hearts.

I Gots Feathers On My Nails!
So, it's been an absolute age since I last posted due to moving house and no internet but I'm back briefly to show you this awesome mani!
I LOVE putting feathers on my nails. It's surprisingly easy but always gets tonnes of compliments.
For this I used an ESSIE colour (the label wasn't on it so I don't know what it's called) and just some plain brown feathers from a local craft shop. You literally paint 1 layer, let it completely dry then paint a 2nd and whilst it's still wet apply the feather, using small scissors and a file to adjust the shape after. You have to use a very thick top coat for them to stay on properly! I use one that I've had for yeaaaars and it's so gloopy it's perfect.
So, there we go. I hope you like and I promise it won't be so long for my next entry!
